Director of High School Baseball Development & Operations
Jon is a native of Houston, Texas, and played for the Houston Heat. The Heat, a member of Premier Baseball, is a highly respected national organization based out of Texas. He came to Missouri on a baseball scholarship and unfortunately suffered a career-ending injury. Gibbens has spent the last 10 years as a competitive club coach. He strives to focus on player development through encouraging positive attitudes, in-game focus, giving 100% effort both on and off the field, and data-driven mechanical adjustments.
Some of Jon’s duties for the Midwest Mavs will be:

- Work with the ball player and family to learn about the goals and objectives of each ballplayer academically and athletically.
- Serve as administrator of our Sports Recruits program.
- Conduct timeline checkpoints for the age groups 14U-18U.
